Roles & Responsibilities
The candidate should be aware of Netapp storage structure. Which will cover the basics of Netapp.
Must be aware of Cloning processes.
Must be aware of Data protection & storage efficiency.
Scripting is additional however he should be at least able to understand it.
Troubleshooting & Event understanding for critical events reported on storage.
Other skills related to the understanding of operating systems such as AIX & Linux & Windows.
Understanding of SAN & NAS Infrastructure & zoning.
Understanding of Reporting & monitoring of storage.
Understanding to raise a ticket for events reported or part replacement & to perform an activity.
AIQ understanding for storage wellness & to mitigate risks.
Basic understanding of the host side.
Qualifications:
Any Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Engineering.
8+ years of experience in storage administration, preferably with NetApp.
Strong understanding of:NetApp storage systems and architecture,SAN/NAS concepts, zoning, and infrastructure
Storage cloning processes and data protection methods
Operating systems: AIX, Linux, Windows
Familiarity with:Storage health tools (e.g., NetApp Active IQ)
Event management and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
Backup solutions (e.g., Commvault, Veeam, NetBackup)
Basic scripting knowledge (Shell, PowerShell, etc.)
