Collaborate with and work as part of a team, with Operations and other Network Engineers developing & amp; supporting the Carrier Wholesale business.
Support the switch infrastructure, track and document all Incidents worked on in detail and attend post incident reviews.
Investigate, Diagnosis & Resolve Incidents and issues brought to your attention, analysis of monitoring, logs and system behavior to resolve Incidents as quickly as possible in accordance with customer contractual Service Levels.
Monitor infrastructure performance and capacity and develop and implement improvements.
Troubleshoot Voice calls, Roaming, MO, MT, International Calls (e.g. Wireshark).
Ensuring trouble tickets are resolved within SLA's.
Comprehensive hands-on knowledge on the switching fabric with call control set-up and troubleshooting on Huawei switches, Enghouse/Dialogic SBC.
Familiarity on SCP layer with downstream integration into mediation system and charging system.
Provide out of hours support to the business as part of an on-call rotation.
Liaise with Vendor for planning upgrade and ORM
Desired Candidate Profile:
Excellent knowledge and 5+ years of experience on carrier grade Huawei, Dialogic, and VOIP switches.
An In-depth understanding of the SIP, SIP-I,SDP, RTP,C7,H323 and SIPRec protocols and their secure versions
Hands on experience in Huawei Msoftx3000 / UMG 8900, Media Gateways, SBC SE2600, 2900, SDH Network ADM OSN7500, Enghouse/Dialogic SBC
Hands on experience in Huawei ADM OSN7500
Interworking between IP and TDM protocols, SIP/C7/Q931.
It is essential that you have very good SIP protocol trouble shooting skills with the ability to diagnose and understand SIP call flows.
